Congratulations to the Tigers White team, 2006-2007 Division C State Champions!

Welcome to the Tigers Women's Hockey Club! This season marks the twelfth year of competition for the Tigers. The organization began in 1995 as a group of women who wanted to learn how to play ice hockey. An informal clinic was established in September of 1995 and the Tigers formed an official team in August of 1996. The team joined the Women's Central District Hockey League (WCHL) of USA Hockey with exhibition status for the 1996-1997 season. The Tigers Organization has been very successful over the years. The team placed 3rd in the first Women's and Girls Illinois State Championship in March of 1997. The Tigers finished the 2001-2002 season with a remarkable 10-2-1 record and placed 3rd in the League tournament. In the 2003-2004 season, the Tigers went to the league playoffs for the sixth straight year, ending in 4th place in the WCHL Championships. Tigers Blue won the AHAI State Championship in the 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 seasons, and Tigers White were the 2006-2007 Division C State Champions!

Since 1995, the Tigers have grown from a small group of twelve players to an organization with over forty members, fielding teams in the White and Blue Divisions of the WCHL as well as a developmental squad that plays a full schedule of exhibition games. The team practices once a week at the Robert Crown Center in Evanston, and plays 36 games a year between the three squads. We are always looking for new players of all levels -- beginners and first-timers welcome!
